Agfa Graphics will feature the two latest additions to its extensive range of :Anapurna wide-format printers at Sign & Digital UK 2012 on stand J30.
The new 2.54 x 1.54m :Anapurna M2540 FB makes its UK debut at Sign & Digital UK. It is designed to deliver exceptional value for money and has already received industry recognition. The M2540 FB is a dedicated flat-bed printer with a photo quality engine using :Anapurna UV six colours plus white inks. These inks ensure faster drying and produce a wider colour gamut, ideal for a variety of materials.
Also showing for the first time in the UK is the 2.05m :Anapurna M2050 which has quickly become a best seller as a highly cost-effective platform for companies wanting to produce top quality graphics. The 8-colour (CMYK Lc Lm, 2 x white) print heads cover virtually every possible application including coloured or dark substrates. Eight 12 picolitre heads guarantee printing of good solids with fine text reproduction as small as 6 pt, good tonal rendering and low ink consumption. Users also benefit from its UV-curable output and the ability to print direct to 2 x 3m rigid and 2m wide flexible materials.
Demand for the digital capabilities of Agfa Graphics’ :M-Press has resulted in the introduction of a new model in the :M-Press family. Designated the :M-Press Leopard, it is a new version of the machine which brings its advanced ink-jet technology to display producers who want versatility and high quality at a considerably lower investment point and with the same very low :M-Press variable production cost. Thanks to the new design, :M-Press allows for new applications that require more manual handling.
Agfa announced that Cestrian Imaging, one of UK’s leading digital print suppliers has purchased its second :M-Press Tiger. This comes right after a recent quality upgrade of the first system at Cestrian to full greyscale printing and a high demand from customers to deliver ‘digital’ screen print and offset quality.
Agfa Graphics announced that Graphic Tech has purchased Agfa’s :M-Press TIGER, the first in North America with an in-line screen printing unit. Graphic Tech is set to install their :M-Press TIGER in the first quarter of 2011. The award-winning California-based company is one of the most successful full-service graphic communications service providers in the US. With years of servicing a diverse base of high profile customers, Graphic Tech has its sight on the future.
